My firts posts is my autobiography

My name is Mariana Pérez, I was born on December 15 of 1990 in San Fernando, VI region Chile, but I lived in the country in Placilla with my family.

My family is very numbers, because I have two sisters and two brothers, and I am the second. My mother has always been dedicated us to take care and my father worked in the fields, until 2018 because he suffered a heart attack.

I studied in two primary schools, Placilla School and “El Principito” School in Nancagua. I studied in Cardenal Raúl Silva Henríquez for secondary education too in Nancagua. After leaving high school I did a pre-university in San Fernando. I started studying geography at the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile, so I had to go live in Santiago. I had financial problems, so I retired and in 2017 I started studying geography again at the University of Chile.

With the pandemic, I am living in the country again with my family, which is very relaxing. I love oil painting and cakes, and last year I started a small business, I sell cakes on Instagram, you can follow me @reposteria_bosquedehadas

  Hello everyone!   Today I'm going to tell you about a favorite photograph. I chose it because it has a very special meaning for me. The photo was taken for my birthday on December 15, 2019 by my little sister, and it features me standing next to my aunt, showing her a gift book I received that day. My aunt always lived next door to our house and became part of our family, she was a mother to me. She got Alzheimer's disease in 2017 and since that year I dedicated myself to take care of her together with my sisters. The day after this photo, she woke up sick and we had to go urgently to the hospital, where she was hospitalized. She was hospitalized for two months in the ICU of San Fernando, where I visited her daily, until the day she passed away, February 14, 2020. I like to think that she wanted to stay to be with me on my birthday and this photo is the memory of her gift.

Blog 4: My Favorite Food

¡¡¡¡Hello everyone !!!!   Today I'm going to tell you about my favorite food, but one that I don't eat very often because it requires time and help to prepare it: stuffed potatoes. Talking about this food immediately reminds me of my aunt Gilda, because whenever she came home to visit, she used to prepare them and watching her I learned the recipe. Stuffed potatoes are a pastry made of potatoes that are stuffed with pine. To prepare them you have to make a classic pino (meat, onion, garlic and seasoning) the night before. The day of the preparation you have to cook peeled potatoes until they are very soft and then grind them to mix with egg, flour and butter until you have a soft dough that does not stick. In the palm of our hand we place a portion of dough and stretch it, on top of it we put one to two spoonfuls of pine and close it with the same dough, giving it with our hand a potato shape.   Hi everyone! This semester I have had several courses, but the one I found most interesting is Environmental Geography. This branch of geography is the integration of all the components of space, being deeper than the concept of environment. That is to say, it is not enough with the detailed study of the elements that make up the geographic space, it is also necessary to understand the interrelationships that arise between them. A very interesting topic in this subject is the hydro-social cycle of water, since the traditional water cycle (evaporation, condensation, precipitation and filtration) is not enough to explain the developm ent and behavior of water resources today, and it is necessary to include in the study the role of human beings as the main actor in the availability, quantity and quality of water in the world.
